Coffee Shop Attendant - Full-Time

About the role

As a member of our hospitality team, the Coffee Shop Attendant plays an essential role in creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. You will prepare coffee to Marriott standards, ensuring its quality and freshness, and provide warm, friendly service to make each guest feel valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee to PCH standards, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Change out coffee every two hours to maintain optimal taste and flavor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by practicing "clean as you go" methods.
• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with appropriate items to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Create eye-catching and attractive food displays to promote sales.
• Welcome each customer with a warm smile, address them by name when possible, and offer assistance.
• Handle payment transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system and follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Ensure the issued bank is maintained at the correct amount at all times for accurate transactions.
• Provide efficient and friendly service for guests purchasing to-go items by wrapping or bagging them appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, tables, floors, counters, and the outside patio area to uphold sanitation standards.
• Restock sold items, including retail and culinary/pastry items, to ensure a wide selection of products.
• Record and document the amount of cash in the register at the end of your shift for accurate accounting.
• Keep track of sales and prepare an inventory of stock to ensure smooth operations.
• Practice proper food handling techniques to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to company guidelines and federal regulations when reporting gratuities and observing ABC board requirements.
