• Enforce the Client/Bon Appétit contractual agreement
• Hire, train and supervise the daily conduct of the staff
• Supervise adherence to proper uniform standards following the employee handbook and established account guidelines
• Order employee name tags
• Develop and revise job descriptions
• Conduct staff reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions
• Ensure all Hiring and Training standards are met and documented for direct hires, including but not limited to New Hire Packet, Employee/Manager Handbook Sign off Sheet, Fact Training Completion, and Safety Trainings
• Represent the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client and employee interactions
• Respond to all comments and complaints within 24 hours and follow up with a written response to the Sr Operations Manager
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner
• Communicate with the Client honestly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow all Bon Appétit's requirements as outlined in the Accounting Manual
• Analyze weekly business, making recommendations
• Write and revise the Beverage Operations Manual
• Complete inventory on an appropriate schedule
• Conduct POS audits, guaranteeing the integrity of the POS handling system
• Price all menu and catering items, specifying portion and prep quantities while adhering to food and sustainability guidelines
• Maintain and monitor payroll in conjunction with business forecasts and the budget
• Ensure that food cost meets budgetary goals each week
• Ensure overall coffee bar operations meet the standards as presented in Great Expectations, as well as oversee the daily appearance and upkeep of all applicable beverage locations
• Supervise the proper and consistent execution of all menu items at all coffee bar operations
• Adhere to Bon Appétit's standards of fresh and creative décor, as specified in Great Expectations
• Ensure overall beverage locations meet the standards as presented in Great Expectations, as well as oversee the daily appearance of the entire beverage service areas
• Edit the daily signage for proper spelling and descriptions
• Work with the Sr Operations Manager to plan seasonal, holiday specials and offerings, plan and review marketing, signage and display of items with the Sr Operations Manager and/or the Marketing Manager
• Utilize all web based information systems, including web menu and catering menu
• Ensure proper presentation, portion, and hygiene – follow HACCP standards
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
• Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments

Qualifications

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills with multiple teams, departments and people across the entire account
• Ability to interact with diverse and high-volume customer base in a friendly and efficient manner
• Ability to use the time clock system properly, and record worked hours for processing
• Ability to work at times with minimal supervision, and accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and at times problem solve for the best solution
• Ability to answer basic questions regarding unit operations and direct other questions to appropriate parties
• Possess the ability to meet Bon Appétit unit specific uniform standards for this position
• Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment per Bon Appétit guidelines
