About the role
We are seeking a Coding Specialist for Ambulatory Services to join our growing organization. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly) remote position with Monday-Friday dayshift hours. Candidates must reside in WI, IA, or MN and live within a reasonable driving distance to La Crosse, WI. The focus of this role is diagnostic imaging coding within primary care.
Responsibilities
- Specialize in Primary Care coding
- Provide top-level customer service to patients, delivering a positive first and last impression
- Partner with providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patient health journeys
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (associate's degree desired)
- Coding Certification Required: CPC, CPC-A, CCA, COC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility, healthcare business office, or equivalent education
- 1 year of coding experience desired but not required
