About the role

The Coding Review Tech II reviews clinical documentation and applies appropriate billing and diagnostic codes using accepted guidelines. The tech also keeps all WQ's up-to-date and under the 14 day requirement of completion.

Responsibilities

• Reviews clinical documentation and applies appropriate billing and diagnostic codes using accepted guidelines.
• Keeps all WQ's up-to-date and under the 14 day requirement of completion.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years coding experience required.
• CPC certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology with an in-depth understanding of ICD-10CM and CPT Coding principles focusing on evaluation and management services.
• Fundamental knowledge of current standard billing practices as defined by AMA, as well as, the ability to interpret clinical data.
• Computer skills required.

Qualifications

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
