Coding Educator/Auditor

Full-time position located in Belmond.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm with opportunity to work flexible daytime hours remotely
• Alternative schedules (e.g., 4/10 work shifts) may be considered
• No holidays or weekends

Responsibilities

• Audit coding accuracy and documentation quality across the organization
• Provide ongoing education to coders
• Partner with the HIM Leader to develop and deliver provider education that supports accurate clinical documentation, compliant coding, and optimal revenue cycle performance

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years coding experience
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for inpatient and outpatient hospital encounters and multispecialty clinics
• AAPC or AHIMA coding credential or equivalent

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EPIC and 3M preferred but not required
