Responsibilities
- Leads coding quality assurance and education efforts to drive coding accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across coding operations.
- Performs comprehensive coding audits to assess accuracy, compliance, and performance trends.
- Analyzes audit findings to identify root causes and develops targeted education to improve coding outcomes.
- Provides guidance on complex coding scenarios and supports compliance initiatives.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for coding practices and regulatory requirements.
- Drives improvement in coding accuracy and consistency through audit insights, education, and standardization efforts.
- Works with coders, providers, and leadership to support audit and education efforts.
- Delivers clear, actionable feedback and education to improve coding accuracy and compliance.
- Identifies coding trends and develops solutions to improve accuracy and performance.
- Follows through on audit findings and education plans with accountability.
- Improves coding quality and performance through audit insights and standardization.
- Supports compliance and accurate coding outcomes that impact reimbursement and data integrity.
- Drives continuous improvement through education and process refinement.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of coding experience.
- AHIMA-RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) OR AHIMA-RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) OR AHIMA-CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) OR AAPC-CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder) OR AAPC-CPC (Certified Professional Coder); AAPPC-COC (Certified Outpatient Coder).
