About the role

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Coder, where you will be responsible for the review of clinical documentation and diagnostic results for coding and abstracting all outpatient types while utilizing the appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems for reimbursement and external reporting, research and regulatory compliance and medical necessity, CCI, NCCI and any other regulatory edits.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results for coding and abstracting all outpatient types
• Utilize appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems for reimbursement and external reporting
• Ensure compliance with research and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate medical necessity, CCI, NCCI and other regulatory edits

Requirements

• Credential required within 1-year of hire date: CCA, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC-A, or CPC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Medical Coding, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding or related field
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classification systems
• Experience with medical necessity, CCI, NCCI and other regulatory edits
