Submit your application for the opportunity below: Coder Abstractor Job Summary And Qualifications Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Coder utilizes knowledge of CPT coding principles, ED/E&M coding as well as financial class requirements in order to accurately assign the appropriate E/M codes within a medical record for reimbursement requirements. Enters patient charges. Provide partial coverage for the hospital switchboard. Ensures all incoming telephone calls are promptly and courteously answered and routed to the correct extension within the hospital. What qualifications you will need: High School Diploma or equivalentMedical Terminology Path physiology/Disease Processes; Intro to coding (including CPT) is beneficialDetail oriented; ability to communicate with Medical Staff and their office personnel; and facility staff.
