Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer

About the role

Performs a variety of working-level technical duties related to enforcing the provisions of City laws, codes, ordinances, regulations, and other legal issues concerning streets, sidewalks, parking strips, abandoned vehicles, snow, weeds, signage, and hazardous and nuisance abatement.

Enforces city ordinances related to domestic animals and livestock. Drives and actively engages in the enforcement of all City ordinances, oversees the daily operation of Code Enforcement within the City, and provides the highest levels of service through enforcement and public education on ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Enforce City laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations related to streets, sidewalks, parking, abandoned vehicles, snow, weeds, signage, and nuisance abatement.
• Enforce ordinances concerning domestic animals and livestock.
• Oversee the daily operation of Code Enforcement within the City.
• Educate the public on City ordinances and enforcement procedures.
