Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Provides timely cocktail service in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Keeps assigned areas clean and free of glasses and bottles.
- Constantly looks for service opportunities.
- Responds to and resolves guest complaints.
- Answers guest questions and is knowledgeable about property events and attractions.
- Performs all side work at assigned station, such as stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream, and coffee dispenser.
- Monitors and manages food cost, labor cost, and other controllable expenses within budget guidelines.
- Provides fast (20-minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round.
- Takes drink orders, communicates with bartenders, assists in the preparation of drinks, and presents drinks to guests.
- Maintains clean and stocked workstation for the next shift.
- Handles money according to procedure.
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
- Serves as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos.
- Promotes casino events and programs.
- Works closely with Total Rewards Center to promote new card sign-up programs.
- Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor.
- Provides personalized service and uses the guest’s name.
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- One-year previous high-volume cocktail experience.
- Minimum of one-year customer service experience in a previous position, where the primary job duty is direct customer service.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable to engage in conversation.
- Nevada Food Handler’s Certification.
- Nevada Alcohol Awareness Certification.
- Union Referral.
Additional Requirements
- Requires standing and walking continuously with a tray up to 20 lbs throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
- Must be able to access service area when picking up beverage orders.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach.
- Must have the manual dexterity required to write drink orders, prepare drinks and garnishes, and handle beverage orders.
- Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
