Cocktail Server

Responsibilities

• Provide beverage service to club members and guests
• Perform pre- and post-work shift duties
• Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
• Distribute menus, if applicable
• Take beverage orders and suggestively sell drinks as appropriate
• Place orders with the bartender
• Ice glasses, add garnishes or other ingredients as needed
• Place beverages on tray and deliver to members and guests
• Serve beverages and check back to ensure satisfaction
• Remove empty glasses and clean tables as required
• Consistently follow all revenue control procedures
• Verify accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and other charges on all bills
• Present bills to members and guests and handle all cash, credit card, and member charges per standard operating procedures
• Keep assigned tables, lounge, bus station, and other areas clean
• Advise supervisor of complaints as they occur
• Attend staff meetings, including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required
• Comply with all state, local, and club laws and policies relating to alcohol service; inform manager if service to a member or guest is questionable
• Thank members and guests and invite them to return
• Complete other appropriate assignments as requested by the Beverage Manager
