Cobb - Farm Worker Temp

About the role

This position is responsible for various tasks including cleaning and disinfecting poultry houses, removing used litter, assisting with bird movement, placing new shavings, bush hogging, and maintaining farm equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remove used litter from houses; clean and disinfect poultry houses and all equipment (including vehicles/tractors) utilizing commercial pressure washer on wet/slick floor;
• Place new shavings in houses following cleaning;
• Maintain tractors, pressure washers, litter trucks, trailers, and mechanical equipment while providing all weekly and maintenance safety checks;
• Maintain and assist with housekeeping standards in the working areas;
• Inspect birds to determine quality and progress by weighing birds weekly;
• Sanitize storage areas, breakroom, boot rooms, equipment, and vehicles;
• Maintain cages, pens, equipment and buildings or fenced yards;
• Farm cleanup such as garbage/litter retrieval.

Requirements

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months;
• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.) and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Pay

$16.90 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, including holidays. Hours: 6:00am to 2:00pm.
