Cobalt TN Final Finish Technician

About the Role

This position involves cleaning both the interior and exterior of boats, applying and installing graphics, final parts, and soft grip. You will also pack loose parts and prepare boats for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Remove all seats from the boat, vacuum the carpet, and wipe dust and dirt from all areas using various cleaning detergents.
• Verify correct final parts and graphics are installed, using a laser level when needed.
• Wipe excess compound from the hull.
• Briefly inspect the inside and outside of the boat for damage.
• Pack and place loose parts per the order in the designated location.
• Install various warning stickers.
• Set the tower down and cover the boat with a shrink cover to ensure it is ready for shipping.
• Install vents, swim boards, and emblems as specified in the work order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English with basic comprehension skills.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with high frequency of variables.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Lifting and Carrying: Frequently up to 35 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Repetitive Foot Activities: Constant use of both feet.
• Other Activities: Frequent bending at waist, squatting, climbing ladders/stairs, kneeling; occasional reaching above shoulder.

Work Environment

• Work in tight/restricted spaces with some airborne particles and use of various cleaning agents.
• Safety glasses required at all times.
• Typical 10-hour workdays with frequent overtime required.
