Coax Splicer - Duncansville

About the role

At Communications Construction Group, LLC, as a Coax Splicer II, you’ll work in telecommunications construction, splicing coaxial system networks for communication companies that provide internet, cable TV, and telephone services.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least two years of coax splicing experience

Additional Qualifications

• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure

• Work at heights & in confined spaces
• Operate vehicle and heavy machinery
• Squeeze, fine hand motion
• Work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level
• Bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs
• Lift greater than 55 pounds
• Use keyboard and mouse

Occasionally:

• Use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles
