Coax Splicer

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep, and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers)
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Upgrade the existing plant, plant extensions, and new building construction

Requirements

• Safety is a value you live by
• At least 1-3 years of splicing and sweeping experience
• Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems with a hands-on approach
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts with overtime
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT Med card (MVR review required; must meet company safety standards)

MOS Codes B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 relate well to this position.

Pay

$24–$31 per hour
