Short-term sole-charge nanny position in Coatesville, Auckland for a 5-week-old baby from 10 August to 31 October 2026, Tuesday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm.

About the role

A family in Coatesville is seeking an experienced, nurturing nanny to care for their newborn baby. The baby is exclusively breastfed but comfortable with expressed breast milk from a bottle and experiences reflux, often requiring cuddles and contact naps. The nanny will take sole charge of the baby while parents work from home and will also provide practical support to the mother.

Walks in the pram are encouraged, though the baby will not attend groups due to their young age. The family has a medium-sized dog, and security cameras are present inside the home.

Responsibilities

• Provide sole-charge care for a 5-week-old baby, including feeding (expressed breast milk), soothing, and contact naps
• Support the mother with practical tasks as needed
• Take the baby for walks in the pram
• Be comfortable around the family’s medium-sized dog
• Respect the presence of security cameras in the home

Requirements

• Experience and confidence in caring for newborns, including those with reflux
• Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with a genuine love for babies
• Comfortable with contact naps and holding the baby for extended periods
• Comfortable around dogs
