About the Role

The Coater Technician is responsible for controlling the application of paint onto substrates in accordance with established specifications. This role partners closely with Planning, using provided production information to ensure proper paint application. The Coater Technician takes proactive, preventative measures to maintain quality standards and ensure all finished products meet company specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Control the application of paint onto substrates following established specifications.
  • Collaborate with Planning to use production information for proper paint application.
  • Take proactive, preventative measures to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure all finished products meet company specifications.
  • Read, write, and interpret documents such as training manuals and write routine reports.
  • Facilitate training sessions as needed.
  • Perform mathematical calculations, including dividing units of measure and computing rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Interpret graphs and other technical data.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Fluency in English (read, write, and speak).
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as training manuals.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Ability to interpret graphs and other technical data.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regularly communicate with other employees.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close/distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles (e.g., paint smell).
  • Required PPE must be worn at all times.

Pay

$21.63 hourly
