About the Role

The Coater Operator ensures scheduled orders are completed in accordance with specifications and procedures established by Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Engineering. This role maintains safety, quality, and production standards in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of crew members
• Perform quality and standard checks
• Participate in die changes as scheduled
• Complete appropriate data sheets as required
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections
• Follow “Red Tag” procedures if required
• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility
• Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Maintain inventories needed for production run
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects
