Coalitions Director

About the role

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a passionate advocate for liberty to join our team as the Coalitions Director in Louisiana. This role involves building new relationships, organizing events, and engaging activists to advance public policy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build new relationships to expand outreach and connect groups to AFP's shared interests and goals
• Develop events and engage activists across the state to advance state and federal public policy initiatives
• Work alongside the state leadership team to cultivate and foster relationships with elected officials at the local and state levels
• Speak to groups of all sizes, motivating and inspiring them to be informed and engaged citizens in their communities, state, and country so they advocate for public policy reform

• A deep belief in people-empowering, bottom-up, public policy solutions that limit the coercive nature of government and empower individuals to pursue their American Dream
• Experience building diverse coalitions around a shared vision, developing a strategy toward a shared goal, and executing the plan
• Strong leadership skills, including strong people skills and humility to embrace AFP's growth-focused culture
• Comfort and confidence working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment independent of direct supervision or direction
• The ability to travel at least 30% of the time and have a valid driver’s license
• Enthusiasm to contribute to AFP's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect

• Competitive compensation with a base salary range of $75,000 - $100,000 per year, and the opportunity for additional bonus compensation
