Qualifications
- Minimum Certification requirement: Substitute Teacher
- Coaching Experience:
- Head Coach Positions - At least 5 years of successful coaching experience in the sport required.
- Assistant Coach Positions - Successful coaching experience preferred.
- Employment in District: Full-time teaching assignment in Middletown Township Public Schools preferred.
- Sports Management: Ability to proactively manage student academic and behavioral support, scheduling, budgeting, equipment and materials.
- Sports Knowledge: Proficiency in the technical aspects of the sport being coached, including the latest training and conditioning techniques to ensure the safety of the student athlete.
- Post-Secondary Sports Knowledge: Firm understanding of the process of preparing high school student athletes for college level competition. Ability to assist in college searches and provide recommendations for the qualified student athletes.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
