About the role

The Coach-Wrestling Varsity Boys Assistant Coach position at Franklin High School is open until filled. Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) is a large district serving over 38,000 PK-12th grade students and provides a range of educational programs including Head Start, state preschools, K-8 schools, comprehensive high schools, small high schools, alternative high schools, and adult education.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting the Varsity Wrestling Coach in all aspects of coaching
  • Leading practices and games as assigned
  • Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment
  • Collaborating with other coaches and staff to support student athletes

Requirements / Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Include a resume highlighting relevant education, training, and experience in wrestling
  • Obtain the following certifications before starting employment:
    • Fingerprint Clearance
    • TB Clearance
    • Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate ($50 - NFHS Learning Center)
    • Concussion in Sports Certificate (Free - NFHS Learning Center)
    • Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate (Free - NFHS Learning Center)
    • Sexual Harassment Training within 30 days of employment
    • Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of employment
    • CPR/First Aid Certificate from an approved agency
