About the role

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the junior-varsity sports program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all coaching duties for the JV team.
• Attend staff meetings convened by the principal, athletic director, or head coach.
• Plan and manage practice schedules, equipment issuance, collection, and maintenance.
• Arrange transportation for away games.
• Monitor team members’ academic progress throughout the school year.
• Recruit and secure personnel such as team managers and game scorers.
• Supervise athletes after practices or games until all have left school grounds.
• Scout opponents when feasible.
• Provide first aid for injuries in the absence of the athletic trainer.
• Perform any additional position-specific duties assigned by the head coach.
