Coach in Training

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Coach in Training (CIT) position is responsible for supporting the Tennis Department by assisting Lead Coaches with youth tennis programming for children ages 10 and under. This entry-level role provides hands-on coaching experience while developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a successful tennis coach.

This position promotes the company's safety goals and actively works towards ensuring a safe working environment. It interprets and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and actively further corporate objectives and supports improvement and positive change.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Coach with instruction during youth tennis programs for children ages 10 and under.
• Help execute the planned tennis curriculum and activities.
• Support the Lead Coach in managing participants on the court to promote a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, and positive sportsmanship while interacting with participants and families.
• Absorb and follow all Bay Club safety policies and coaching guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Passion for tennis and working with children.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced coaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Corporate Goals & Objectives

Primary Job Functions include assisting with instruction during youth tennis programs, helping execute the planned tennis curriculum and activities, and supporting the Lead Coach in managing participants on the court to promote a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.

Other Job Functions

• Assist with special club projects, events and promotions.

Education & Experience

Tennis playing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
