About the role
The J. Walter Wood Treatment Facility is a part of Rite of Passage Team, dedicated to improving the lives of youth. Located in Montgomery, Alabama, the facility offers comprehensive support services alongside a year-round educational institution.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth.
- Support physical, personal, and health needs through individual counseling and skill development.
- Maintain a supportive atmosphere for student needs; monitor and document behavior and activities.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for each student.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Age 21 or older.
- Desire to work with troubled teens.
- Pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Qualifications
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful towards others.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations.
- Knowledge of youth development and mental health.

Pay and Schedule
- Starting Hourly Rate: $18.
- Schedule: 3.5 Days per week, 12-hour shift, 42 hours per week.
- Shifts: A Shift (Days): Sunday-Tuesday 7:30am-8:30pm, and Wednesday, 7:30am-2:30pm; B Shift (Nights): Sunday-Tuesday 7:30pm-8:30am, and Wednesday, 7:30pm-2:30am; C Shift (Days): Thursday-Saturday 7:30am-8:30pm, and Wednesday, 1:30pm-8:30pm; D Shift (Nights): Thursday-Saturday, 7:30pm-8:30am.
