About the role
Working under the direction of the head coach, carries out the objectives of the sport program as outlined by the head coach and athletic director.
Responsibilities
- Supports the head coach in planning and implementing practices and games
- Assists in recruiting and developing student athletes
- Maintains a positive relationship with students, parents, and other coaches
- Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations of the sport and school
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
- Minimum of 2 years coaching experience at the high school level
- Experience with the specific sport being coached
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Pass a background check
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
