CO2 Class B Tanker Driver
About the role
At Airgas, we specialize in CO2 and are seeking a Microbulk Driver in Worcester, MA. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $5000 and a base pay of $30.00 per hour. The schedule requires weekend availability and Monday through Friday work, with a typical workday lasting 10-12 hours.
Responsibilities
- Sign transfer product from Airgas truck to customer tank through hose hook up.
- Inspect vehicles before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
- Loading Microbulk tanks, filling customer owned Microbulk tanks as assigned.
- Maintain DOT, SAFECOR and Airgas vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed.
- Assure the route truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker & Airbrake endorsements.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
- Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
Qualifications
- CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus but not required.
