Co-Op Student- Gas Engineer
Wisconsin Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Co-Op Student for Gas Engineering roles in Milwaukee and Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The position offers two term options: January 2027 through August 2027 or May 2027 through December 2027.

Job Summary
Students will develop skills in engineering fundamentals related to the gas industry and project management. This position provides hands-on experience in natural gas transmission and distribution engineering, including exposure to gas facilities, construction projects, system maintenance, and asset management systems.
Responsibilities
- Support network models of gas distribution systems.
- Review and analyze gas asset information in various data systems (services, mains, valves, stations) and perform required updates.
- Participate in training opportunities to learn about the natural gas industry, construction standards, work procedures, and associated materials.
- Perform site visits to observe utility construction, maintenance, and customer service functions.
- Design and generate reports for engineering, regulatory, and operational requests.
- Assist engineers with capital construction projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (graduation date later than July 2027).
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.10 to $27.55 per hour, with a starting rate of $23.10. The final salary will be based on relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and other factors. Paid company holidays are included.
