Join Delta Air Lines as a Reservations Co-Op and help shape the future of customer care. You’ll work on high-impact projects that improve the servicing experiences for millions of customers while gaining hands-on experience in data analytics, process improvement, product management, or statistical modeling. While co-oping in reservations, you’ll gain real-world experience in a Fortune 100 company.
Job Summary
- Act as an internal consultant within the department, leading semester-long projects that support divisional strategies and business objectives.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Perform data analysis and collection.
- Resolve product, process, and project-related issues and risks.
What is Reservations?
The Reservations department serves as a key point of contact for customers before, during, and after their travel experience. This co-op opportunity is based at our General Offices (GO) and functions as a back-office support role. In this position, you will support the department by partnering closely with our Customer Engagement Centers and providing essential behind-the-scenes assistance that enhances both the customer experience and the effectiveness of our frontline agents.
What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Must not be enrolled in any classes, either remote or on-campus, during the duration of the program.
- Must be able to work 16 consecutive weeks.
- Must be able to come into Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta 4 times per week.
- Must be able to commit to three rotations prior to finishing undergraduate degree (any combination of spring, summer, and fall).
- A strong team player, detail-oriented, and perform well under pressure.
- Conveys professional image to all levels of associates.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Has a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills highly preferred.
- Possess technical skills, with an emphasis on SQL and any programming language.
- Possess business skills such as business modeling, project management, or competitive analysis.
- Completion or pursuit of Database, Basic Programming, User Interface courses.
- Data visualization tool knowledge (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience with simulation, modeling, and statistical analysis software.
