Co-op/Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the equipment survey process and Flowstar.net program
• Sustain inventory survey and consolidation efforts
• Advance daily tasks aligned with the Engineering Manager's directives
• Examine failed products, offering both written and verbal explanations to relevant Flowserve personnel
• Acquire and maintain basic knowledge of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals to support Flowserve activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with Application Engineers, Sales Engineers, Regional Reliability Engineers, and Engineering Managers
• Support key initiatives for the local Flowserve Quick Response Center

Requirements

• Enrollment in good standing as a sophomore or junior at an accredited university with a BS in Engineering
• Good communication and computer skills
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Ability to use measuring equipment (dial calipers, micrometers, etc.) is a plus
• Show mechanical aptitude
• Can organize and prioritize responsibilities independently
• Can learn quickly and develop strong troubleshooting skills
• Have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude
• Reliable transportation is required
• Occasional travel to support needs within the Gulf Coast Region may be required
