Co-op Audit (Spring 2027)

As a FedEx Co-Op, you will work on projects gaining valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment related to your field of study. The internal audit internship program provides hands-on experience in internal auditing, offering interns the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and develop practical skills.

About the role

Interns will assist in conducting risk assessments, performing audit procedures, documenting findings, and contributing to the development of internal audit reports and recommendations. Availability to work 40 hours/week (full time) from January 2027 to June 2027 is required.

Responsibilities

• Present and deliver long-term solutions with significant business and/or customer experience impacts.
• Participate in networking and/or community service events.
• Assist in financial, operational, and information systems audits, as well as special projects.
• Prepare formal reports and presentations of audit results for senior and executive management.
• Conduct interviews with personnel at all levels to complete audit assignments.
• Attend meetings with management to discuss audit issues and develop action plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.

Skills

• Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to handle fast-paced environments, shifting priorities, and high attention to detail.
• Analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations.

Pay

Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours/week), January 2027 – June 2027.

Location

This position is hybrid in Memphis, TN. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius, and employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location several times per week. Immigration sponsorship is not available for intern positions.
