About the role
Lead strategy, design, and management for the City of New York product portfolio. Drive innovation in City of New York product offerings to ensure competitiveness, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Manage product-specific policies, processes, contracts, plan documents, communications materials, and other tasks and tools associated with the City of New York product offering. Partner with functional areas across the enterprise such as IT, Marketing, Communications, Network, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Medical Management to execute on creation and enhancements to business operation workflows and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and design City of New York product strategy that aligns with organizational goals, client needs, and market trends, ensuring the product portfolio is competitive and relevant.
- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on City of New York product design, funding arrangements, and benefit strategies.
- Partner with leadership to monitor the overall performance of the CNY product portfolio, identify gaps, and enhance policies and procedures related to financial reporting, marketing and communications, product design, and benefit requirements.
- Collaborate with internal partners to effectuate operational and process changes.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative benefit solutions that address emerging market trends and client needs, ensuring offerings are competitive and aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with CNY Strategic Partnerships team and UnitedHealthcare on matters related to the NYCE PPO product performance and strategy.
- Regularly review and refine offerings and incorporate industry best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Contribute to development, preparation, and delivery of documentation and communication related to CNY product changes and enhancements.
- Identify, anticipate, prevent, and mitigate or resolve issues and obstacles that impede project completion.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and business requirements related to the CNY product portfolio.
- Actively partner with the client relations tower within Account Management on product offering capabilities, such as support for content preparation for open enrollment and client meetings.
- Foster a high-performing team culture and ensure synergy with organization goals and priorities.
- Ensure consistent communication and awareness with Legal, Compliance, Actuarial, Procurement, Vendor Management, Operations, IT, Marketing, Communications, Sales, Account Management, Proposal/Sales Support, Clinical, Underwriting, and Network teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required).
- Master’s degree in health administration, business administration, or a healthcare-related field (Preferred).
- Project Management Certification (PMI) or Six Sigma-related certification (Preferred).
- 10 – 12+ years of experience, preferably in a healthcare environment (Required).
- Experience with product development and management across a wide range of products and funding (Required).
- Additional experience or specialized training may be considered in lieu of educational requirement (Required).
- Ability to coordinate, organize, and prioritize; and to successfully manage multiple competing simultaneous tasks and projects (Required).
- Proven track record of successfully completing programs in a timely and cost-effective manner (Required).
- Staff or process management experience (Preferred).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and operational effectiveness skills (Required).
- Proficient with MS Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc. (Required).
Pay
Hiring range: $113,400–$210,600
