CNV Production Engineer

About the Role

Sofidel America of Inola, OK is seeking a local candidate for a long-term Manufacturing Converting Engineer role. Your expertise will be vital in improving production lines and supporting operations in a stable environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address improvement areas in manufacturing processes and equipment, including quality improvement, waste reduction, risk reduction, and equipment malfunctions.
• Evaluate performance of raw materials trials, investigate cost-saving opportunities, and lead equipment modifications and installations.
• Prepare project justifications, benefit analyses, and facilitate Root Cause Analysis of manufacturing processes and equipment issues.
• Develop and design innovative solutions to improve product line design and evaluate technical options for business initiatives.
• Conduct acceptance tests on vendor-purchased equipment.
• Manage business aspects of converting assets, including monthly operational costs, compliance projects, and production performance.
• Design and draft equipment, materials, and workspace layouts to maximize efficiency using drafting tools.
• Define process requirements for next-generation equipment through modeling and prototype experimentation.
• Collaborate with product development and operations teams to deliver targeted process capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical preferred).
• Experience in a pulp/paper mill or with converting equipment is preferred.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing operations and perform capacity analysis to identify obstructions.
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
• Strong technical fundamentals with converting engineering skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office, ERP, and Manufacturing Systems is preferred.
