About the role
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Direct customers to appropriate products based on their needs.
- Build customer confidence through product knowledge and technical assistance.
- Order entry, special orders, and price lookups via CNRG point-of-sale systems.
- Stock shelves and perform cycle counting according to schedules.
- Submit instances of pricing issues, scanning problems, or product inaccuracies to the Resource Center.
- Participate in store safety meetings and follow company safety guidelines.
- Assist with customer loading and face and front product at the beginning and end of shifts.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
- Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, or general hardware merchandise.
- Able to lift and load up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hourly position (non-exempt from overtime).
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Computer literacy with CNRG point-of-sale systems.
- Safety awareness and vigilance.
