About the role
This position involves providing excellent customer service, handling sales counter functions, and assisting with inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Sell products and provide product knowledge and technical assistance
- Order entry, special orders, and price lookup
- Stock shelves and merchandise products
- Process sales orders and write special orders
- Perform cycle counting of inventory
- Assist with customer loading of items purchased
- Submit instances of pricing issues to the Resource Center
- Participate in store safety meetings
- Follow company safety guidelines
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Strong math, reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Problem-solving ability and good organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, or general hardware merchandise
- Able to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform each duty and responsibility in a satisfactory manner
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to answer phone calls professionally
- Knowledge of CNRG point-of-sale systems
- Ability to lift and load merchandise
- Basic knowledge of safety measures
