About the role
Artera Technologies, LLC performs extensive vulnerability research and security risk assessment of clients' embedded devices and firmware. When applicable, we develop tailored solutions such as embedded device capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Programming in Assembly, C/C++, Python, using CNO tools and techniques.
- Developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments.
- Developing UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments.
- Developing network-related programs (e.g., packet level).
- Expertly working with Unix and/or Windows low-level internals.
Requirements
- Strong C programming and Python development experience.
- Experience with Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
- Experience developing Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments OR at least one (1) year experience developing UNIX applications using makefiles or comparable build environments.
- Familiarity with software version control tools (Subversion, CVS, etc.).
- Able to debug software and troubleshoot issues.
- Unix/Linux development experience.
- CNO experience.
- Networking experience.
- Software analysis/reverse engineering experience.
- Embedded systems development experience.
- Understanding of assembly programming concepts (PowerPC preferred, but x86 accepted).
- Debugging Windows programs (windbg).
- Knowledge or proficiency with JavaScript.
- Makefile experience.
- Microservice architecture knowledge.
- RabbitMQ experience / message exchange knowledge.
- Docker experience.
- Backbone / Marionette experience.
Qualifications
- CNO Analyst/Programmer Level 1 requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar technical major, and 0-8 years of relevant experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- CNO Analyst/Programmer Level 2 requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar technical major, and 8-10 years of relevant experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- CNO Analyst/Programmer Level 3 requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar technical major or related discipline, and 10+ years of relevant experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
