About the role
Set of X is seeking a software engineer with a passion for cybersecurity to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with industry veterans who share their values and vision, and contribute to solving complex and challenging problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop software in C/C++, Python, and Assembly language for operating system internals, network programming, and reverse engineering
- Work on projects involving virtualization, kernel modules, network devices, and test frameworks
- Lead a team of engineers and mentor junior developers
Requirements
- Experience developing software in C/C++, Python, and Assembly language
- Experience developing for operating system internals (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, Embedded systems)
- Experience with network programming
- Experience with debuggers (WinDBG, gdb, lldb, adb, ollydbg)
- Experience with test frameworks (GoogleTest, CMock, Catch2, pytest)
- Experience working well in a team
Desired Skills
- Experience writing software in Modern C++ (stdcpp17 and later)
- Experience with virtualization tools (VMWare, HyperV)
- Experience with reverse engineering tools (Ghidra, IDAPro, Binary Ninja, Radare2)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Svn)
- Agile development skills
- Prior experience leading a team
- Experience writing kernel modules/drivers
- Experience with network devices
- Experience with build system technologies (MsBuild, CMake, make, ninja, wheel, tox)
- Experience with code quality tools (Valgrind, clang-tidy, pylint, black)
- Experience with scaling automation tools (Docker, Ansible)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Atlassian, GitLab, CircleCI, Jenkins)
