CNN Content Strategy Internships: NYC - Fall 2026

Responsibilities
- Provide support to linear and nonlinear programming and scheduling
- Researching and tracking the competitive landscape on a weekly basis
- Auditing external listings and platforms
- Updating databases and documents with internal program information
- Aiding in updating and checking program listings
- Managing inventory across Airtable, tracking documents, and maintaining content trackers
- Aiding in evaluating content for potential acquisitions
- Aiding with data cleanup and slide building on PowerPoint for content analysis project
- Ad-hoc research projects
- Attending content planning meetings
Qualifications & Experience
- Passionate about news/media/film/tv
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe
- Extensive film/tv and/or news knowledge
- Strong curiosity for content planning and scheduling process
- Knowledge of CNN Content
- Great communication skills
- Enthusiastic team player
- Savvy with streaming platforms
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Self-motivated, ability to multi-task, and a positive attitude
- Able to function well in a fast-paced, high volume environment and to follow through on given tasks
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergraduate student (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
- A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
The Nice to Haves
- Experience with Airtable, Scenechronize, and Smartsheet
What To Know Before Applying
- The duration of the program is 10 weeks
- Program dates: Start Date: October 12th, End Date: December 18th
- Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage
- Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired
- Relocation is not provided
- Interviewing will take place from early August through mid-September
- A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position
