About the role
Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and high-quality assessments, examinations, and preventive screenings.
- Manage low-risk pregnancies and perform vaginal deliveries within scope of practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care.
- Educate patients regarding pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, and preventive health.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support patient safety standards.
- Promote wellness and disease prevention through evidence-based care and patient education.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, and gynecologic care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based midwifery practices, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Understanding of preventative healthcare, family planning, breastfeeding support, and women’s wellness services.
- Understanding of quality improvement principles and population health initiatives.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to manage low-risk pregnancies and provide labor, delivery, and postpartum care within scope of practice.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills with diverse patient populations.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in documentation, care coordination, and healthcare technology.

Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
