CNC Technician

About the role

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business with operations in over 40 countries and employs approximately 20,000 people. Responsibilities

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for job assignments.
• Responsible for storing tooling related to CNC processes and maintaining an inventory.
• Keeps a good inventory of spare parts required for the CNC process.
• Produces both turned and machined parts to customer specifications, requiring knowledge of tooling and cutting tools.
• Lays out and writes programs for prototypes and samples on machining and turning centers with short response times.
• Sets up all machines in the shop.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to their specific position.
• Must have good machining skills.
• Must have good inspection skills.
• Must have excellent math skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience in CNC machining.
• Close tolerance expertise (.002).
• Lays out and writes programs for prototypes and samples on machining and turning centers with short response times.
• Sets up all machines in the shop.
