Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to support steel fabrication and material processing. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC plasma cutting or industrial sawing, drilling, and cutting equipment and is comfortable working with large steel materials.
What You'll Do
- Set up and adjust CNC machine settings for efficient, accurate production
- Select the appropriate material type, stock size, and dimensions for each job
- Measure materials and verify finished work against design specifications
- Apply required part numbers, markings, and production data to materials
- Operate overhead cranes and material transfer/conveyor systems safely
- Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting
- Track daily production activity and material usage
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a CNC plasma table or performing industrial sawing, drilling, or cutting operations
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch
- Basic math skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes preferred
- Experience operating overhead cranes and material handling/conveyor systems
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
- Tekla PowerFab experience preferred
Experience with any of the following equipment is valuable: Kinetic Plasma Table, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line, Peddinghaus Angle Master, Ficep Beamline.
