CNC Star Lathe Machinist

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple machines at the same time.
• Operate CNC machines and run proficiently.
• Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 - 6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeymen machinist.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
• Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
• Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions.
• Good understanding of shop math.
• Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
