Key Responsibilities
- Review job orders and collaborate with CNC Programmers to determine the most efficient machining process.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine readiness.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards, specifications, and tolerances.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and optimize machining processes to improve productivity.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support CNC programming modifications and process improvements using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Follow lean manufacturing practices while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming concepts.
- Experience with Fanuc controls is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Familiarity with CAM programming and toolpath generation.
- Adequate knowledge of tooling, machining practices, EDM, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
