CNC Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Review job orders and collaborate with CNC Programmers to determine the most efficient machining process.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine readiness.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards, specifications, and tolerances.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and optimize machining processes to improve productivity.
• Work closely with engineering teams to support CNC programming modifications and process improvements using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
• Follow lean manufacturing practices while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming concepts.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Familiarity with CAM programming and toolpath generation.
• Adequate knowledge of tooling, machining practices, EDM, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
