CNC Set Up Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Create CNC programming for new processes and improvement of current processes.
• Prepare perishable tooling for new processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize machining processes.
• Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions or programming errors to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of setups, tool changes, and adjustments made during the production process.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software for programming CNC machines.
• Ability to assemble and use lathe machines.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of bore gauges.
• Familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls.
• Proficient in using hand tools for machine setup and maintenance.
