CNC Set-Up Technician

About the role

The CNC Set-Up Technician is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precise metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture metal parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality control.
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in CNC machining or related field.
• Proficiency in using CNC machines and associated software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of metalworking processes and materials.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor.

Pay
