Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates machines under the direction of supervisors, leads, and group leaders.
  • Obtains prints, tools, collets, wheels, gaging, and fixtures as needed, changing and replacing tools as necessary to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Reads and interprets work instructions, GD&T, and blueprints to produce parts accurately.
  • Inspects parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to ensure compliance with job specifications.
  • Diagnostics and corrects machining programs, reporting any issues immediately to supervisors.
  • Maintains work areas, equipment, and tools in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Performs basic machine maintenance tasks such as removing chips, adding coolant, etc.
  • Maintains records or other data as required.
  • Aids in training other operators.
  • Operates support equipment as necessary for the department.
  • Ensures production quantities, quality, and good machining practices.
  • Observes and adheres to company policies, rules, and regulations, including attendance, break schedules, housekeeping, safety, and security.
  • Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Performs other duties as required, assigned, or directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to use all required measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to make major adjustments and offsets, including positional moves.
  • Ability to change and re-sharpen tools as necessary.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble production tooling and machinery.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of company-wide manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and share necessary information.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, commencing the next full month after hire.
