Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates machines under the direction of supervisors, leads, and group leaders.
- Obtains prints, tools, collets, wheels, gaging, and fixtures as needed, changing and replacing tools as necessary to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Reads and interprets work instructions, GD&T, and blueprints to produce parts accurately.
- Inspects parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to ensure compliance with job specifications.
- Diagnostics and corrects machining programs, reporting any issues immediately to supervisors.
- Maintains work areas, equipment, and tools in a neat and orderly condition.
- Performs basic machine maintenance tasks such as removing chips, adding coolant, etc.
- Maintains records or other data as required.
- Aids in training other operators.
- Operates support equipment as necessary for the department.
- Ensures production quantities, quality, and good machining practices.
- Observes and adheres to company policies, rules, and regulations, including attendance, break schedules, housekeeping, safety, and security.
- Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
- Performs other duties as required, assigned, or directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to use all required measurement and inspection equipment.
- Ability to make major adjustments and offsets, including positional moves.
- Ability to change and re-sharpen tools as necessary.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble production tooling and machinery.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic understanding of company-wide manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and share necessary information.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, commencing the next full month after hire.
