CNC Set-Up II – Swiss Machines (1st Shift)

Key Responsibilities
- Perform full machine set-ups on Swiss-style CNC machines, including tooling, offsets, and program verification
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Load and edit CNC programs as needed to ensure proper machine operation
- Install and align tooling, fixtures, and materials to meet part specifications
- Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments to maintain production efficiency and part quality
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and operators to improve processes and reduce downtime
- Maintain accuracy documentation for set-ups, tooling, and process adjustments
- Support training and guidance for CNC operators or less experienced set-up technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of CNC machine set-up experience, with significant experience on Swiss-style machines
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and GD&T
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators)
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Swiss machines such as Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar
- Familiarity with high-precision or medical device manufacturing
- Experience editing CNC programs (Fanuc or similar controls)
- Ledan manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
