CNC Service Technician
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing advanced CNC machining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and high customer satisfaction. This role serves as a technical expert and trusted advisor, supporting end users through troubleshooting, training, and ongoing technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex CNC machining systems, including multi axis platforms
- Install new machines, upgrades, and retrofits, and bring equipment online to specification
- Train customers on proper operation and maintenance
- Verify equipment performance meets OEM standards
- Document service activities and communicate effectively with internal service teams
- Support customers across multiple locations through extensive travel, including international travel as needed
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills related to CNC equipment
- Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Self-directed, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Solid communication and basic computer skills
- Extensive hands-on experience servicing complex CNC machining systems (5 axis preferred)
