At Atlas Fibre, precision matters. For more than 65 years, we've produced high-performance thermoset composite laminates and engineering plastics used in aerospace, defense, electrical, industrial, medical, and transportation. As a CNC Routing Specialist, you'll turn engineered drawings into finished, inspection-ready parts that customers rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Power up a Northwood or Onsrud CNC router, load programs, and stage tooling to kick off the day's jobs.
  • Review blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets, and work instructions to confirm specs and sequence.
  • Load raw stock and secure workpieces with the proper workholding method to ensure stability and accuracy.
  • Run first-piece parts, verify results, and make approved offset adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor cycle performance, tool wear, and part quality throughout the run; document everything cleanly.
  • Inspect using calipers, micrometers, and other precision gauges to confirm tolerances.
  • Machine materials like G-10, G-11, FR-4, thermoset composite laminates, and engineering plastics.
  • Troubleshoot typical machining, tooling, and quality issues to keep production on schedule.
  • Clean machines, perform basic preventive maintenance, and keep your area organized and safe.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality to meet deadlines—and jump into other duties when needed.

  • Mechanical aptitude and sound troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer and math capabilities.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environments.
  • Forklift experience.

Physical Requirements
