Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops repair processes and operates CNC in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual, customer requirements, or drawings.
- Must know how to design a fixture applicable to the repair process using 3D modeling.
- Participates in establishing and modifying repair methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
- Develops and maintains a variety of reports, records, and repair documentation to reflect methods and other manufacturing aspects.
- Provides tasks related to the First Article Inspection Part.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's guidelines, procedures, and policies, plus applicable laws.
- Develops, validates, and operates CMM inspection programs for aerospace components and tooling.
- Creates and optimizes CNC machining programs and operates using CAD/CAM software for repair and manufacturing applications.
- Supports First Article Inspection (FAI), dimensional investigations, and root cause analysis activities.
- Works closely with Quality and Production Departments to resolve machining and inspection-related issues.
- Manufactures tooling for New Product Development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA Part 145 standards and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
