CNC Programmer

Responsibilities
- Develop production processes and CNC programs for manufactured products.
- Play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes.
- Leverage advanced machining technologies, innovative cutting strategies, and Lean manufacturing principles to optimize quality, productivity, and cost.
- Support execution of OQ / PQ activities as required for the process/products.
- Develop detailed work instructions as needed.
- Support operations with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical issues.
- Maintain configuration management by properly naming and saving electronic files and programs.
- Complete all work assignments, design, and development projects with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to the team environment by accomplishing results while cohesively working as a team member.
- Work within the framework and abide by VulcanForms QMS and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Promote the use and adherence to our company's 7S and LEAN philosophies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of 3D modeling and CAM programming using Mastercam.
- Expert knowledge of CNC machining, including: 3-axis and 5-axis milling, single- and dual-spindle turning, EDM machining.
- Proven ability to read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T, composite tolerances, and support dimensional inspection requirements.
- Thorough understanding of fixture and workholding design utilizing SMED principles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions while working independently.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting additive manufacturing production environments (preferred).
- Experience programming complex aerospace, medical, defense, or high-precision manufacturing components (preferred).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems (preferred).
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation activities (preferred).

In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match. The annual base salary range for this position is $87,000 to $120,000.
